Alex Mason Chief Financial Officer
Alex leads the Îʶ¦ÓéÀÖ Revenue Authority’s (WRA) finance and commercial services.
Alex joined the WRA in January 2025 as the Chief Financial Officer. Before this, she spent 8 years as Head of Finance and Commercial at the Government Internal Audit Agency (GIAA)..
Alex joined the GIAA in 2017 and played a key part in supporting the organisation’s expansion, as part of the leadership team.
Alex is a qualified accountant with vast experience acting as Head of Finance and Commercial at arm's-length bodies. She worked for 20 years at the Ministry of Defence, holding several senior roles, including time working in Germany.
Alex is excited to bring her experience and knowledge to support the WRA as it expands into new areas of work.
Raised in Yorkshire, Alex has worked across the UK and overseas and has lived in Monmouthshire for the last 10 years.
Alex is passionate about developing people and teams to their full potential. She supports the Crossing Thresholds programme and mentors women, helping to develop their careers and find new opportunities.
