In October 2024, the Cabinet Secretary for Health and Social Care appointed the Ministerial Advisory Group (MAG) NHS Performance and Productivity.
The purpose of appointing an external MAG was to provide the Cabinet Secretary with:
- assurance on the effectiveness of current arrangements to improve performance and productivity in NHS Wales
- observations on how to strengthen current arrangements to further improve performance and productivity
The MAG reported to the Cabinet Secretary on 31 March 2025.
