Efa Gruffudd Jones Member

Efa Gruffudd Jones was a member of the Interim Youth Work Board
Following roles with the Îʶ¦ÓéÀÖ Language Board and the Arts Council of Wales in 2000, Efa joined Urdd Gobaith Cymru, as Director of Development. She was responsible for fundraising from a variety of sources and for policy development.
In 2004, she was appointed the Chief Executive of the Urdd. Staff numbers and turnover of the Urdd doubled during her period as Chief Executive.
Since 2016, Efa has been Chief Executive of the National Centre for Learning Îʶ¦ÓéÀÖ, the body funded by the Îʶ¦ÓéÀÖto provide a strategic lead for Îʶ¦ÓéÀÖ for Adults learning in Wales. The Centre has established innovative projects, including the 'Work Îʶ¦ÓéÀÖ' scheme.
Efa has been Vice President of CWVYS (Council for Wales Voluntary Youth Services), a trustee of the WCVA (Wales Council for Voluntary Action) and a member of the Îʶ¦ÓéÀÖ Language Partnership Council. Efa is currently Chair of Theatr Genedlaethol Cymru (the Îʶ¦ÓéÀÖ Language National Theatre Company).
