The Cabinet Secretary for Housing and Local Government has agreed to change the current membership structure of the Firefighters’ Pension Scheme Advisory Board for Wales (SABW) to replace Fire and Rescue Authority (FRA) Members with FRA Officers as employer representatives on the SABW. The authority to appoint such members will be delegated to the Director of Risk, Resilience and Community Safety. In addition, the Cabinet Secretary has also agreed to change the chairing arrangements for the SABW, such that the Chair is an appropriate ʶofficial, the authority to appoint such a chair has been delegated to the Director of Risk, Resilience and Community Safety.
