The title of the Subsidy Scheme is the Cam wrth Gam Programme.
3. UK legal basis
Section 60(1) of the Government of Wales Act 2006
Policy obligations in relation to Îʶ¦ÓéÀÖ language standards, equality and human rights, UNCRC, the tackling poverty agenda and the Well-being of Future Generations (Wales) Act 2005 have been fully considered.
4. Objectives of the scheme
The objectives of the scheme are to take forward the expansion of Îʶ¦ÓéÀÖ medium Childcare provision by providing Îʶ¦ÓéÀÖ medium childcare training courses for qualifications for an additional 100 recruits at level 3 and an additional 50 recruits at level 5.
5. Public authority(ies) authorised to implement the scheme
Îʶ¦ÓéÀÖ Government.
6. Category(ies) of eligible enterprise
Childcare providers delivering childcare workforce training and qualifications in the Îʶ¦ÓéÀÖ Language.
7. Sector(s) to be supported
The sector to be supported by this scheme is the Childcare sector.
8. Duration of the scheme
The scheme is from 1 April 2022 to 31 March 2026.
9. Budget for aid under the scheme
The total budget for this scheme is £3.748 million.
10. Form of support
All subsidy awarded under the Scheme will be awarded by way of grants.
11. Eligibility terms and conditions
The provider needs to be able to deliver the childcare qualifications training through the Îʶ¦ÓéÀÖ Language and meet the targets of new recruits to achieve level 3 and level 5 qualifications to enable them to work in the childcare sector.
12. Basis for calculating subsidies
The value of subsidies awarded under this scheme will be based upon the costs of delivering level 3 and 5 qualifications to childcare practitioners to cover the costs of assessors, instructors, DBS checks, validation of training and work-based training materials
